Wadebridge, lies at the heart of the Camel Estuary and the Camel Trail , a safe, level, off-road walking , cycling and horse riding route running along the bed of the former Bodmin to Padstow railway. The Camel Trail, Cornwall's most popular free attraction is part of the Sustrans national cycle route running from Bath to Cornwall and is also part of the Cornish Way , a network of cycle routes covering Cornwall . Walking or cycling the 17 miles of the Camel Trail takes you from Padstow at the mouth of the Estuary to Poleys Bridge on the quiet, timeless Bodmin Moor. Wadebridge is in the middle, its shops and cafes providing a welcome break.. The Town also has a number of cycle hire outlets offering day hire to complete the trail.
